CADfusion™ now more scalable, cost-effective
FATPOT CADfusion™ CAD-to-CAD Interoperability Technology
Now More Flexible and Cost-Effective
Bountiful, Utah — May 26, 2009 – FATPOT Technologies recently released a more scalable and cost-effective version of its proven CADfusion™ technology. CADfusion eliminates the hurdles that force departments to operate in isolation (costly hardware upgrades and mismatching technology, for example), and gives all public safety departments unprecedented access to high-performance CAD-to-CAD interoperability.
The newest version of CADfusion enables departments to extend their capabilities with existing resources and systems – despite shrinking budgets. CADfusion can be scaled to give departments at the most restricted end of the budget spectrum a quantum leap in CAD-to-CAD interoperability, including the ability to gather, monitor, and view information about incidents and units in multiple jurisdictions. At the other end of the spectrum, CADfusion delivers advanced functionality, including seamless automated call dispatching, full CAD-to-CAD interoperability, and full CAD-to-CAD participation.
Departments can match CADfusion with FATPOT’s mobile interoperable program, PortalONE™, which provides first responders, dispatchers, and other professionals with aggregated, real-time mapping and dispatching information from multiple disparate systems on a single interface (CAD, RMS, GIS, and AVL, for example).
Case studies show that CADfusion is highly cost-effective. For example, public safety agencies in a 1200 square mile county serving 1.7 million people chose CADfusion to fully integrate widespread public safety answering points. FATPOT’s technology supports advanced functionality, including synchronized call updates, shared call narratives, resource requests (mutual aid requests), seamless automated call transfers, and dynamically mapped units. CADfusion’s cost only amounted to a small fraction of the county’s overall budget yet the CAD-to-CAD interoperability it creates has an enormous impact on the region’s day-to-day operations and bolsters its preparedness for wide-scale emergencies.
